ADULT MINISTRIES

Our small groups  seek to be relational, engaging, and transforming,

allowing us to grow in faith and love for one another.

SMALL GROUP MINISTRY

Small Groups at Bridge of Hope are a vital part of our ministry. It's here that community is developed, discipleship occurs and authenticity encouraged. It's a way to add blessings to one's life, involvement at BOH, and get connected with others.

Small Groups take on two forms at Bridge of Hope: As LIFE Small Groups or as LINK Small Groups. There are four dynamics that help shape these groups to be  relational, engaging, and transforming. These four dynamics are what creates the culture for everything that happens during LIFE and LINK small groups. In one shape or form, each meeting will have an aspect of Being, Caring, Learning, and Doing involved.

LIFE Groups
  • Life small groups allow for people of the church to deliberately make a commitment (2-3 years) for spiritual growth and relational care. These small groups do things together but focus primarily on helping each other find a rhythm of faith and life deeper in God's grace.

  • Life small groups give opportunity for "speaking into" each other's lives. They share a commitment that on this journey of spiritual growing in grace, we will not give up on each other. These groups take prayer and commitment seriously and believe in honest discussions.

  • Life small groups generally meet once a month and study various Christian books and the Bible while consistently challenging each other to go deeper in living out God's truth.

Our Small Group Ministry follows our mission, "Come as you are, Grow in grace, Go and serve" in the following ways:

Come as you are: you are invited to a safe place where you can be real before God and others.

Grow in grace: you are encouraged to be deliberate integrating faith in two ways. One is by worshiping regularly with us. The second way is by being involved in Life and/or Link small groups as God gives guidance.

Go and serve: you are blessed in being equipped and ready to respond in hearing God's promptings and call to serve in His name.

LINK Groups
  • Link small groups allow for people who have busy lives to experience small group ministry on a short-term basis, meeting from as little as a few times and perhaps up to as many as 8-10.

  • Link small groups give opportunity to meet with people who don't know each other or are just new to BOH; these groups help you become a part of body life.

  • Link small groups have the diversity of being a mixed small group, a men's small group or a women's small group. The focus of why these groups meet is diverse. They can meet for fun or for spiritual growth; for a mission trip or a service project. They can meet for a book study or to just have dinner together.

  • Link small groups are the front door, along with worship, for inviting new people who have not been involved with this church. They also address felt and spiritual needs of people by being real with the struggles and open to the joy brought by fellowship.

  • developing adult opportunities in a safe environment that meets people where they're at and helps them grow in their knowledge and understanding of God's Word

  • teaching adults to be disciples of Jesus Christ and active members of Bridge of Hope by engaging with fellow believers in worship, joyful giving, and learning opportunities

  • equipping adults to live out their faith in all aspects of their lives, share the Gospel message of salvation in Jesus Christ, and work toward the renewal of all of God's world
