Bridge of Hope encourages its members to be involved in our community, keeping our eyes open to serving others right where God has placed us--our neighborhoods, work place, and where we do daily life.
Various ways we do this as a body is with ministries such as "His Hands, His Feet Sunday Service," the "Winter Gear Drive", "Hallelujah Party," Celebrate Recovery and more...
HIS HANDS,
HIS FEET SUNDAY
Each year, on the first Sunday in May, our service consists of going into our community and serving in various ways. This includes helping clean up local parks, painting, yardwork, and doing work at a women's crisis center thrift store.
WINTER GEAR DRIVE
The past few years, Bridge of Hope has helped organize and implement Winter Gear Drives. The churches in town are invited to participate by collecting winter coats, snow pants, boots, mittens, cloves, hats, blankets, etc. These items are then picked up, washed, mended, sorted and displayed at a chosen location and are available for anyone in our community who is in need of such items. It's a blessing to be able to serve our community in this way and to know people are being helped. Left over items are passed on to the Hope Food Pantry who continues to distribute these and other needed items.
HALLELUJAH PARTY
The Hallelujah Party is an event that Bridge of Hope hosts every year on October 31. (Unless that date lands on a Sunday.) We invite the community to this free event where they can enjoy games and prizes for the kiddos! While Bridge of Hope organizes and hosts the event, it does so with the support of many generous Sioux Center businesses.
This year, the Hallelujah Party will be held on TUESDAY, OCTOBER 31, 2023, from 5:30-7:30 PM at Dordt University's Recreation Center. A meal will not be served as it has been in previous years.

CELEBRATE RECOVERY
Celebrate Recovery is a biblical and balanced program that helps people overcome hurts, hang-ups, and habits. CR shows people the loving power of Jesus Christ through a recovery process using 12 steps and eight principles. The Sioux Center Celebrate Recovery Chapter meets at 7pm each Monday night at the Bridge of Hope Ministry Center located at 43 2nd St. SE. Our meetings consist of praise and worship, fellowship and small group meetings. The last Monday of each month we have a potluck meal that begins at 6:30 with the normal meeting to follow.
