WORSHIP NOTES

  • Sermon Series: A Summer in the Psalms

  • Message: Psalm of Thanksgiving

  • Scripture text: Psalm 138

  • Series Description: Psalms was the ancient hymnal of God’s people—not just for worship days, but for everyday life. The 150 psalms went with them as they sat, slept, rose, and walked. These songs shaped them into people who loved and obeyed God with their whole hearts. In joy and sorrow, in faith and doubt, they sang. The Psalms taught them not to ignore pain, but not to be ruled by it either. They still do the same for us—forming us into people who trust God and cling to His promises. Join us for a summer in the Psalms.

  • Communion

  • Offerings will be for the General Fund and for Foster Hope NWIA, Inc / Royal Family Kids Camp. Foster Hope NWIA, Inc encompasses Royal Family Kids Camp (a 5-day summer camp for children ages 7-11 in foster care), as well as new opportunities for teenage foster kids in NW Iowa including one-day events and a weekend camp. Your financial support will help to off-set the cost of these events, enabling these children the opportunity to see and hear about the love of Jesus.

A Summer in Lectio

Is your prayer life mostly about you talking to God and just hoping for some kind of response from Him? Come explore and experience how God speaks to us through His Word. This Link Group will explore the ancient practice of Lectio Divina – a prayerful way of reading the Bible that allows for God to speak to us in powerful ways. You will hear a short testimony about how God has used lectio divina in our lives, a brief explanation of “how to”, and we will dedicate most of our time to using the tool to engage with God through his words.

July 28 Ashmore Home at 8:00pm

Sunday Morning Announcement Form

Would you like an announcement made on a Sunday morning before or during the worship service? If so, please fill out the Sunday morning announcement form. Please submit the form by the Thursday before the Sunday you would like the announcement made, preferably earlier if possible. The form can be found here.

Koinonia Prayer Requests

Prayer requests on Sunday mornings at Bridge of Hope have historically been taken verbally during worship. To help make sharing requests more accessible to all, a google form has been created so that people can share requests at a different time and method than verbally on Sunday morning. Prayer requests submitted this way will be included in the email that gets sent to the body each week on either Monday or Tuesday. (Please note: Any prayer requests submitted after the Koinonia Prayer email has been sent that week will wait to be emailed out until the following week. Also, requests made here will not be verbalized on Sunday mornings by the Pastoral Shepherd leading Koinonia Prayer.) Submitting an online prayer request can be done by following this link: https://forms.gle/bryoqnHv7zjy5cyj7.
