• Scripture: Hebrews 1:1-3

• Baptism: This Sunday, we have the joy of celebrating and witnessing the baptism of Jeremiah David Van Zee, son of Marcus & Jenny.

• Offerings: Our first offering is for the General Fund. Our second offering is for our GEMS/Cadet Ministries for girls/boys 4th-8th grade. Our offering will be divided between the two ministries and half of the GEMS proceeds will go to our local ministry and half to headquarters. The same will be for Cadets. Bridge of Hope's GEMS/Cadet program is combined with Covenant CRC & Faith CRC. Both youth ministries meet at Faith CRC on various Wednesday evenings during the school year. • Communion: Next Sunday, January 18, we’ll celebrate the sacrament of the Lord’s Supper.

OUR CHILDREN:

• A NURSERY is provided for children from birth through 2 years old. Nursery is held in the school’s music room. It’s to your left and down the hallway when exiting the gym. Look for the banner!

• PROMISE LAMBS is for children 3 through TK. They are dismissed part-way through the service and can meet their teachers by the gym door. 

• SUNDAY SCHOOL, for TK/K through high school students, meets after the worship service.

Promise Lambs and Sunday School Classes will begin today after the Christmas break.

POST HIGH YOUNG ADULTS (MIK+):

We will continue meeting on Saturday nights at 6pm at the Inwood CRC for our Bible study; a meal will be provided. Please RSVP the Wednesday evening before the Bible study to Lee @ 712.470.4244. And as always, feel free to invite a friend! Dates: Saturday, January 17; Saturday, February 21; Saturday, March 21; Saturday, April 11. ​​​CONNECT & UNITE (Youth Group for 6th-8th grade {CONNECT} and 9th-12th grade {UNITE})​​

• January 18: CONNECT/UNITE Activity - Bowling in LeMars

  • We will leave from the Ministry Center at 6:50 to arrive by 7:15. We will leave bowling at 8:30pm and arrive back by 9 for parents to pick up students.

  • Bridge will cover the cost of entrance/bowling, but students will need to bring their own cash for snacks.

  • I will have chaperones driving- no students will take vehicles from the MC

• January 21: Info Night for El Salvador before UNITE 6:30-7pm at the MC

  • This is for the students that are going on the El Salvador mission trip AND their parents. It will be a casual Q&A presentation with myself to learn more about the trip, what we are focusing on, and other questions you may have. 

• January 21: UNITE - Wk 2 Humility and Trust

  • Meet at the MC at 7-8:30pm

​​​​​Join us immediately following the service on Sunday, January 25 for our Adult Discipleship Kickoff. Over doughnut holes and refreshments, you’ll have the opportunity to review and sign up for the adult discipleship opportunities being offered this Spring! At Bridge of Hope, we believe discipleship is central to the life of the church. It is how we learn to follow Jesus more closely, grow in our faith together, and commission one another to live out the mission of Jesus to the world. This kickoff will be a come-and-go space to take a next step, find a place to belong, and commit to growing alongside others in our community. We invite you to stay, explore what’s being offered, and discern how God may be inviting you to grow in the season ahead!

Sunday Morning Announcement Form

Would you like an announcement made on a Sunday morning before or during the worship service? If so, please fill out the Sunday morning announcement form. Please submit the form by the Thursday before the Sunday you would like the announcement made, preferably earlier if possible. The form can be found here.

Koinonia Prayer Requests

Prayer requests on Sunday mornings at Bridge of Hope have historically been taken verbally during worship. To help make sharing requests more accessible to all, a google form has been created so that people can share requests at a different time and method than verbally on Sunday morning. Prayer requests submitted this way will be included in the email that gets sent to the body each week on either Monday or Tuesday. (Please note: Any prayer requests submitted after the Koinonia Prayer email has been sent that week will wait to be emailed out until the following week. Also, requests made here will not be verbalized on Sunday mornings by the Pastoral Shepherd leading Koinonia Prayer.) NOTE: At the Intermediate School, a First Aid kit can be found in the storage room in the north hallway. An AED (automated external defibrillator) can be found on the wall near the entrance to the building.
