  • * His Hands His Feet Sunday Service

    • NEXT Sunday, May 3, our “service” will be our “service.” It will be a time when our church body will communally serve our community by going out to do service projects during our normal worship time. Instead of meeting at the school next Sunday, head to the Children’s Park Shelter House where people will be divided into groups to do various projects around the community. Following the service projects, we’ll gather for a meal provided by Council. **Childcare will be provided. This is sponsored by the His Hands His Feet Team.

Congregational Meeting

The congregation is invited to an afternoon of feedback & conversation about Living Toward 2030 and a building; meet TODAY from 4:00 to 5:30pm at the Intermediate School. (NOTE CHANGE OF TIME as previously announced.) The afternoon will include a brief overview of the two topics, guided table discussions, and light snacks/refreshments. Childcare will also be provided. Before you come, please take a few minutes to read the two attached documents and think about the following starter questions. Additional questions may be shared later.

Living Toward 2030

  1. Looking at Living Toward 2030, what areas do you think Bridge of Hope is already living out?

  2. In what areas of Living Toward 2030 do you think Bridge of Hope could grow, go deeper, or strengthen its ministry as we move forward?

  3. Which part of Living Toward 2030 do you feel most connected to or excited about?  Are there any parts that you aren't connecting with?

Building

  1. When you first heard that Council was praying and discerning about a building, what was your initial reaction? (Excitement, hesitancy, fear, hope, or something else?)

  2. How do you see a building supporting our vision of Living Toward 2030? How might it create challenges or distractions?

  3. As you prayerfully reflect on this next season, what else is on your mind that you would like to share?

We hope you’ll join us for this important conversation—your voice matters, and together we can discern God's calling for Bridge of Hope.

First Friday Diners

All adults are invited THIS Friday, May 1, to Sfumato Pizzeria in Carnes. This restaurant in “rural Orange City” offers delicious wood-fired pizza and a cozy atmosphere! Plan to meet at the Ministry Center at 5:30 pm to carpool, otherwise meet us at the restaurant at 6:00. Please send a “Coming!” text to either Miriam Buss or Cindy Groeneweg by THIS Wednesday, April 29. Check The Weekly email for contact information. (Note: May & June’s First Friday Diner destination was switched from what was originally planned.)

Sunday Morning Announcement Form

Would you like an announcement made on a Sunday morning before or during the worship service? If so, please fill out the Sunday morning announcement form. Please submit the form by the Thursday before the Sunday you would like the announcement made, preferably earlier if possible. The form can be found here.

Koinonia Prayer Requests

Prayer requests on Sunday mornings at Bridge of Hope have historically been taken verbally during worship. To help make sharing requests more accessible to all, a google form has been created so that people can share requests at a different time and method than verbally on Sunday morning. Prayer requests submitted this way will be included in the email that gets sent to the body each week on either Monday or Tuesday. (Please note: Any prayer requests submitted after the Koinonia Prayer email has been sent that week will wait to be emailed out until the following week. Also, requests made here will not be verbalized on Sunday mornings by the Pastoral Shepherd leading Koinonia Prayer.) Submitting an online prayer request can be done by following this link: https://forms.gle/bryoqnHv7zjy5cyj7.
